My Story;

Hi, I'm Dr. Rhiannon and I'm excited to meet your family!  Here's a little bit about me:

I grew up in Selkirk, NY and went to the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School District.  While I knew I wanted to do something in healthcare, I felt stifled by the options afforded by traditional pre-med models and so pursued a different approach.  I was granted a scholarship to Boston University for Biomedical Engineering in 2001 and thus began my inquiry into healthcare. I then transferred to Plattsburgh State University and came into the acquaintance of Chiropractors in Plattsburgh.

My chiropractic care resolved my need for anxiety medication, my lactose intolerance, and my irregular menstrual cycles.  This experience as well as witnessing families with improvements in their overall health including less instances of colds and flu and resolution of debilitating neck pain, back pain, and headaches shifted my health paradigm.  I realized that health didn't come from the outside in, but instead from the inside out.  I was completely inspired and committed to pursuing a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia.  There, I was able to learn the skills and techniques integral to helping families achieve their health and wellness goals through the power of chiropractic and one of the world's finest Chiropractic institutions.

Upon graduation in September 2010, I went on to practice at Adirondack Family Chiropractic in Plattsburgh, New York.  In September 2011, I joined a practice in Roswell, Georgia where I was able to hone my clinical skills and had the privilege of working with many families and conditions that were helped through chiropractic care.  While my experience in Atlanta was invaluable, my heart was with my family in New York.  I opened High Peaks Optimal Health in Lake Placid with my husband, Joseph in 2016.
