I did not expect a free scan coupon received from CA Rebecca at a Women’s Expo would lead to my retirement career. Looking for relief from chronic pain and other related issues I began my care journey with CDFC and Dr Rhiannon. After almost two years of committed care I can say I remain free from ‘traditional’ pain management that included steroids and pain meds.

Upon retirement Dr Rhiannon told me I had a new job. A year later I continue to find one of my greatest benefits here is watching the miracle of neurological chiropractic.I have the privilege to watch our little people grow and develop and learn in so many ways as their nervous systems regulate. It is truly a great joy to share my “Nana” vibes with our future generations.

When not not playing with the littles or catching up on patients’ wellness journeys I am busy working as a financial reporter helping to bring affordable options to our patients here at CDFC.

As a mom, I know firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel when your child is struggling and you’re not getting the answers you need. I received no explanation for why my newborn, my toddler—my child—was in pain. She was simply labeled “colicky.” I was dismissed, unheard, and left to figure it out alone time and time again.
That experience shaped my passion for what we do here at Capital District Family Chiropractic. We offer hope, answers, and real solutions to families who are so often told there’s nothing that can be done. We believe parents. We support children. And we listen—exactly the kind of support I needed as a mom, and what every family deserves.

My journey to CDFC started with curiosity and a Mother’s Day coupon for free scans. Before that, I had only experienced pain-based chiropractic care and didn’t realize there was another approach. From my very first appointment, I felt the caring and personal touch of the team, and the care has helped ease my migraines and back spasms. I’m so grateful to be part of this team and contribute to the miracles happening here.

Hi, I’m Ashley! I’ve always had a heart for helping others and creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. As the oldest of six siblings, stepping into a nurturing role came naturally to me early on, and that instinct has only grown over time. I’ve spent much of my life working with children and families from all walks of life, which has shaped my patience, empathy, and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I believe even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference, and I aim to bring warmth, positivity, and compassion into every interaction.

My personal journey has also played a big role in who I am today. Navigating mental health challenges and learning to prioritize my overall wellness taught me resilience, self-compassion, and the importance of feeling truly seen and heard. Through that growth, I found a deeper purpose: to be the kind of person I once needed and to help others feel less alone. I’m passionate about whole-person wellness and believe healing happens best when people feel supported both physically and emotionally. I’m grateful to be part of a team that values connection and inclusion, and my goal is to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed, cared for, and empowered on their journey to better health.

Through my teens and young adult life in struggled with PCOS and anxiety. Taking medications to help cope and not feeling the support I needed from my doctors. In 2020 I had covid for two months and had to stay in quarantine for two months at the beginning of the pandemic. Once I was cleared to be around the public again by the department of health, i still had symptoms and became a guinea pig for my doctors who later diagnosed me with long covid. I have lived with long covid for 5 years now and still have days where I feel terrible but I continue to push myself and be the best I can. After covid I went back to school and became a Phlebotomist and starting working in a medical field where I fell in love with helping and encouraging patients. Long hauler covid showed me that I am strong and can accomplish anything i set my mind to.
